The Pacific class of ships were a development upon the successful Cormoran-class of 6th rates, with the addition of a poop-deck, and an overall larger hull. The were moderately successful, suffering from instability due to being top-heavy as with many early designs in the Xenian Navy. They were developed as part of the phase 3 shipbuilding program of late 2016.
The first ship, XNS Pacific, was sold to The Coalition in 2018 after it was no longer needed, but returned in 2019 and converted into the 5th rate Cerberus-class ship of the line. The second ship XNS Atlantis was broken up and scrapped in 2017.
