Monodon monoceros is a rare species more commonly known as the narwhal. Narwhals are known to have a single, long horn in the front of their head. They are only known to live in the western ocean.

Discovery

Narwhals were first discovered on PirateCraft by Astrobolt in December 2016. They were discovered in the western ocean, approximately 5000 blocks from cove.

Feeding Habits

As narwhals are incredibly rare, little is known about their feeding habits. The most that can be concluded is that they eat plankton in large quantities that resemble coal.

Endangerment

Narwhals are considered as a highly endangered species on PirateCraft. Studies have shown that there may be as few as one narwhal left on the entire server.

Battles

Narwhals have proven to be fearsome warriors in ship battles. After Astrobolt tamed the first discovered narwhal, he rode it into a ship battle, making Astrobolt the first player to bring a narwhal to a ship battle. Narwhals are able to carry up to 3 iron cannons, 6 mortars, cargo, and passengers, making them perfect for riding into combat.
