The war against Piracy is an ongoing policy and subsequent conflict followed by the British Empire, and Elven Empire.
The term was first mentioned back in 2014 when groups of peaceful traders, most likely from the Elven Empire or Verussian Empire, decided to fight back against pirates.
The war is unlikely to ever end, and serves as a constant source of conflict on the server.
