Overview

Maximus_Terragon is an admin on Piratecraft; known for hosting the server ship battles, and love of ships. He is the founder of the Xenon Empire, The Xanthian Order, and later Xenia. He is currently the only member of the crew Xenia.

Among his most known structures are the Port of Xenia; one of the largest ports on the server, the Grand Ballroom; host of the Royal Elven Ball, and the Xenon Tower; one of the tallest towers on the server (was demolished in January 2018).

He is also credited with designing the server's ships, building spawn, redesigning cove, and the ship battle arena.

Background (Lore)

Origins

Maximus_Terragon was born as the only son of a poor family. His father was a librarian, while his mother was a maid, both working for Lord Akley VI, father of Lord_Akley_VII. Maximus' mother died soon after his birth, so he was raised by his father. When Maximus was young, his father went on a trip to the Elven Empire capital, Evermoor. The ship his father was on was attacked by pirates, and presumably captured. His father never returned home.

Maximus was hired by a rich family, the Terragons, as a servant. The Terragons had made a fortune investing into the new mining industry in the Mesa biome, after Palmerageddon's discovery of the riches located there. The Terragon's only son had recently been killed in a bar shooting at Port Hope. Maximus became like a second son to the Terragons, and adopted their name, to finally be known as Maximus_Terragon. They made him the heir to their fortune and their lands, and taught him how to wield a sword, even giving him their son's sword as a gift.

However, the Terragons had been charged with tax evasion, and treason by the Lord for unknown reasons. They were both imprisoned for treason, and both eventually died due to poor treatment. Maximus_Terragon managed to avoid being imprisoned, but was nevertheless sent into exile, and his fortune was confiscated.

After his fortune was confiscated by Lord Akley VI, he made money by hunting various people for bounties including Icebear89, WilsonManzer, and SirHayden. Whilst in a British Empire pub, he heard news that Lord Akley VI had died of an illness, and that his son, Lord_Akley_VII had taken his place.

He returned to the land the Terragons once owned, and immediately went to meet the new Lord. Akley apologised for his father's deeds, and returned all money and possessions that rightfully belonged to Maximus. However, this also made the new Lord bankrupt as his late father had relied on the confiscated fortune from rich families to survive. Akley, now a broken man left the land in a ship in search of a new start.

The start of the Port of Xenia

On the ruins of the Terragon family mansion along the coast, Maximus founded Port Terragon (now the Port of Xenia). Starting with just a few houses, Port Terragon grew quickly. It caught the interest of Lego, then a member of Red Lotus. Lego became friends with Maximus, and he too joined Red Lotus for a brief period of time before joining the 0utlaws, until Lego created his own crew; the Ottoman Empire.

Maximus_Terragon left Red Lotus, and joined the Ottoman Empire, with Port Terragon becoming the capital. It was during this period where the construction of the first Grand Ballroom began and was completed in time for the July Elven Ball. Members of the Elven Empire, British Empire, and Ottoman Empire were invited to the ball, however it soon turned into a bloodbath after the 0utlaws turned up. In early August 2015, Maximus left the crumbling remains of the Ottoman Empire, and joined the Luteus Republic. Port Terragon was once again made the capital, and the Luteus Republic experienced a boom in economic growth.

The start of the Xenon Empire

Eager to create his own empire, he finally created his own crew; the Xenon Empire, and made Port Terragon the capital. A few weeks later, Maximus was on an expedition along the shores of his Empire, and found Thymen along with 6 other Dutch sailors washed up. Maximus took them in, cared for them, gave them land. A few weeks later, a small cargo ship arrived in Port Terragon selling much needed stone. Maximus went to buy some, and stumbled across the owner of the ship; Lord_Akley_VII. Grateful to see him again, Maximus offered Akley a place by his side, as his personal assistant. Akley accepted, and Maximus reinstated his Lordship, and giving him some land to build. Both Akley and Thymen became loyal friends of Maximus.

In December 2016, the Grand Ballroom burnt down due to unknown causes, and a newer, larger version was planned. Both Maximus and Thymen started building their vaults, creating more armour, and forging their personal swords.

The Xenon Empire was allowed to join the League of Nations, and soon a war broke out between the Verussian Empire and the rest of the LoN. The LoN triumphed and the war was over. In January 2016 Maximus was allowed to join the Federated Nations Alliance, considered a sort of 'rival' to the LoN. Rumours of new superweapons being built by the FNA worried the LoN, and Maximus started construction of the Xenon Tower. A few weeks later, the Second Verussian War broke out. After a week of fighting, Maximus killed the Verussian Emperor; KingRS and subsequently VE surrendered.

After the wars, things slowed down in the Xenon Empire and Maximus focused solely on building his port. Port Terragon was entered into the April 2016 BOTM, whereby it reached 4th place. In August 2016, he renamed Port Terragon to the Port of Xenia. Eventually, the port grew to a tremendous size becoming one of the largest and grandest ports on the server. However, by then the Xenon Empire had become a two-man crew. Only its emperor, Maximus, and his loyal assistant Lord_Akley_VII remained.

The start of The Xanthian Order

In September 2016, Maximus abdicated as emperor. In October, he started negotiations with the Templars leader Chailey about a possible merging of their two crews. The two agreed to merge, and The Xanthian Order was created. The Iborian Empire and Luteus Republic both joined the new Order. Maximus made Thymen the new King of Xenia, while Maximus was now the Supreme Master of the Xanthian Order. In December, The Xanthian Order joined the Commonwealth of Nations.

In March of 2017, Maximus married Queen Reptaria of the Elves, becoming the 7th and last king of the old Elven Empire. The diplomatic marriage enabled the Elven Empire to merge into TXO; becoming the largest crew on the server. The Elven Empire was disbanded in the process. After some disagreements on leadership, it was agreed that the Elven Empire was to be recreated as a kingdom under TXO, and the two crews de-merged.

By July of 2018, TXO had become an increasingly inactive crew, and plans were drawn up to dissolve it into its kingdoms. The remaining kings of the respective kingdoms had largely vanished, and even the commonwealth of nations was falling apart. In october that year, plans were finalized and TXO dissolved into its 4, kingdoms; Xenon (renamed Xenia), Templar, Iboria, and Luteus. Following the demerger the kingdom of Luteus fell into disarray and its king, Icanra, abdicated. Templars fell apart soon after. Only Iboria and Xenia currently remain.

To commemorate this fresh start, Maximus planned to entirely rebuild his port, and transform the continent into one huge port. The neighbouring Verussian Empire had since been reorganized into a republic, and moved away; leaving many of their old towns in ruins - including their capital Pallivadia. Maximus took the opportunity and controversially annexed large parts of the old Verussian Empire, including the ruin of their capital.

Pallivadia, having been damaged by fire, war, and neglect, was torn down to make way for a new port. The old port of Xenia also fell victim to the same fate, and currently only 30% of the original port remain. A few smaller ex-Verussian and Xenon forts and villages were also torn down. Construction of the new city Xenia started on 30th October. As of July 2018, the city is 65% complete.

Nowadays, Maximus is usually found building his city, or designing ships. After becoming admin, Maximus retired from active 'playing' on the server, and only builds or does staffing.

Additional Notes

Shipwright

Maximus is credited with designing most of the server's ships it sells at cove and other places. Among these are several larger ships including an indiaman that is frequently bought by Empires seeking to grow their navies. This has lead to most empires and crews owning ships designed and built by him. Of the roughly 15 ships currently docked at the British Empire's naval base, at least 12 of them were of his design.

A fresh start

Despite its massive size, the old Port of Xenia is largely regened now. After TXO and XE fell apart, the port turned into a ruin and was reclaimed by nature. However plans for a new port were drawn up nearby, simply known as Xenia. This port is currently under construction, and is estimated to be completed by late 2018. Once completed, it will be 4 times the size of the original port.
