The [[North]] Sea is a narrow, land-locked sea in the far northern reaches of PirateCraft, below the [[Polaric Sea]].

It was the farthest north body of water until the world was expanded on August 8th 2016.
It is a heavily settled area, with the [[North]] being mainly dominated by the [[British Empire]] for instance accounts the majority of its colonies in this region. The [[Endorien Empire]] also has a fairly large array of castles and towns as well within this area.

It is home to other present and historic crews, such as [[Thirteen Colonies]], members of [[CoV]], [[Delta]], [[The Dominion Of Canada]], and numerous others.
The [[Christmas 2016]] event took place in a sealed-off area on the southern coast of the North Sea.

The Polaric Sea is one of the farthest north major bodies of water in the main PirateCraft world. It is located in the [[North]] [[West]] portion of the map.

It's name was first coined by [[TheAgentGamer]], with some earlier references (a parody) of one of [[Palmerageddon]]'s ideas of naming. Palmer's idea first was to name the region the "Polar Sea" due to it being near the top of the world and having a major ice mass in the centre, similar to that of the Polar ice caps which characterise the Artic Circle. Agent then proposed the name "Polaric Sea" due to several reasons. One being that "Polar" is too generic and references the poles, when this sea isn't exactly on the northern pole but close to it. The second and arguably most major reason Agent decided to coin this name for it, was because "Polaric" means stark contrast. This is shown in the fact that on one side of the sea, you have one of the largest ice masses on the server, and on the other, you have massive desert and savannah biomes.

The Polaric Sea is mostly ice/tundra and spruce biomes with some forest and mountains here and there, giving it a more frosty and cooler feel. It does however contain a fairly large desert and savannah biome mass, if you are looking for a more warmer feel.

The Anklor Sea (commonly known as the Polaris Sea) is one of the farthest north major bodies of water in the main PirateCraft world. It is located in the [[North]]-[[West]] portion of the map.

===Battle of Neu Berlin===

One night, foreign troops led by [[CottageCooper]] approached by sea and killed the soldiers guarding the docks. They then entered the city through the Brandenburg Gate and opened fire on the civilians. The Wehrmacht was unprepared and were pushed back towards the surrounding forest. Here they got stuck in the undergrowth and were chopped to pieces by the attackers' sabres. The attackers left, leaving the city heavily damaged.

Port Victoria

[[Port Victoria]] is a soon to be colony of the [[British Empire]]. It was originally built by [[The Dominion Of Canada]] as [[Ottawa]]. It is home to stores, a pub, a government building, houses, and a bustling port. It is located very close to [[Port Vernesse]] and a short boat ride from [[Gloomsbay]]. Planned features include: a Police station, a hotel, a shipyard, another fortress, more houses, an expansion of the streets, and a building for visiting government officials.

Port Victoria is currently under construction and phase one is expected to be finished within the next few months. The current plan for the town consists of 3 phases, the first phase is infrastructure (roads, port, defence, and government buildings), the second phase is residential (houses and apartments), and the third phase is miscellaneous (parks, decoration, more stores, redstone compatibility, and improvements to make life easier). Those are the first 3 phases, there will be more phases added in the next few months/years (depending on construction speed and demand for expansion).

Typically, a settlement will encompass a number of buildings and a system of streets. The average settlement needn't necessarily house more than one player.

== Town Status==

The title of "town" is reserved for settlements with a certain level of prestige. To be upgraded to official town status, it is necessary to the meet the following requirements:

* The applicant settlement must be listed on the official [http://piratemc.com/groups/settlements/forum/topic/application-for-town-status/ settlements thread] on the PirateCraft forums.
* It must possess one Town Hall.
* There must be walkways/roads/paths connecting all builds.
* There must be one beacon present.
* A town must have shops selling at least 50 stocked wares OR it must have an arena.
* Building architecture should follow similar themes and each building should feature characteristics of that building, i.e a church wouldn’t just be a square box with a sign on the front saying “Church”.
* Buildings cannot be hollow shells. Houses need to have furnished rooms.

SpikyCactus2105 had a rough start in Piratecraft, he was attacked as a deckhand but he learned to get over it, he had no one... Eventually he joined the [[Scurvy Dogs]] and became a leader weeks later. After approximately a month he decided to leave the Scurvy Dawgs and start his own crew which was called [[The Dominion Of Canada]].

This is a PvP Survival server with a pirate theme and role playing. This guide will help you get started with the basics.

Please note that staff members (shown in red, orange, and blue) are primarily available to ensure players are following the rules. As it says in the [[Rules]], respect the staff and listen to them. As a rule they generally do not return lost items, settle disputes, or provide other getting started assistance outside of what can be found in this guide.

After joining for the first time use ''/warp cove'' and look around, get familiar with this area as it’s a safe PvP free area to explore and where you will usually trade with other players. Once you are ready to set out on your own use one of the ''/warp [direction]'' locations or use the ''/wild'' command to get started.

If you need food or starter equipment, type ''/kits'' to see what kits (kits contain tools etc) you have, every rank you get promoted to, you get a new kit (see [[Kits|list of Kits]]). Fishing is a good source for new players to find food and other useful items. You can also buy and sell goods including food and claim blocks, see [[Money & Economy]] for details. == Making a Claim ==

Once you have arrived where you want to build place your chest to claim that area. Then use the ''/sethome'' command so you will respawn there after dying. You can also sleep in a bed to set your respawn point different than ''/home''. Be sure to put a non-siegeable block (like stone bricks) on top of your chest to prevent other players from stealing it’s contents. Another good idea is to store your most valuable contents in an ender chest because those are unstealable. You can find out what blocks can be broken (aka “Soft blocks”) in a siege by using ''/info siege''. You will need a gold shovel to expand your claim so get to digging and read [[Claims and siege]] for more information.

== Crews, Ships, and Cannons ==

Start by surviving a few nights and making friends on the server. It usually takes a little while to get invited to a crew. Optionally you and your friends can create a new crew, see the [[Creating a Crew]] page for details.

== Will Pirates Attack? ==

Most pirates will avoid attacking new players just joining the server, at least for a little while. To be safe keep your distance from other pirates in the wild until you have sufficient resources to survive. As Piratecraft is a PvP server, there will always be someone out to get you unless you're playing with a trusted friend. Avoid accepting teleport requests from people you do not trust. Building farther inland and away from other people and warps can also help isolate you from wandering pirates. If you get a warning about someone trying to kill you – best to /warp cove and chill for a bit, or log off.

== What do we Expect ==

We expect you to be polite and considerate of other players and staff. Harassment will not be tolerated nor will trolling or use of profanity. Depending on the severity you will likely be muted, jailed, lockered, or temporarily banned.

Staff members expect you to be quiet and serve your time if you are punished for something. Profess your innocence if you must, but once and only ONCE. If you can prove your innocence, ask the op politely if they would like to see it. If they say "No", then just drop it. Arguing will earn you a more severe punishment 100% of the time.

A man of many allegiances.Leader of the secret assassins order and former member of the British.Was governor of Port Blue,New Blue City,and helped form New Zealand.Joined in February 2015,as Cide1911.Was attacked because of some pirates hating him.He joined the British Empire.He worked for BabyHoof for a while.He moved and made Port Blue, which fell due to more pirates and cannons.Same with new blue city.Has had a few ships,but only 1 has sank.Others either got ditched,a abandoned,or even stolen.He then made an empire,and got extremely power hungry and declared war on BE.Which totally backfired on him.He ended up losing his best outpost and his pets.He now went into a cave and found out he has elven heritage.

Settlements are areas of habitation created by players. The can take many forms, among others ports, villages, towns, cities, ghettos, etc. A settlement is different from a base in that it is a center of commerce, culture and expansion. Typically, a settlement will encompass a number of buildings and a system of streets. The average settlement needn't necessarily house more than one player.

== Town Status==

The title of "town" is reserved for settlements with a certain level of prestige. To be upgraded to official town status, it is necessary to the meet the following requirements:

* The applicant settlement must be listed on the official [http://piratemc.com/groups/settlements/forum/topic/application-for-town-status/ settlements thread] on the PirateCraft forums.
* It must possess one Town Hall.
* There must be walkways/roads/paths connecting all builds.
* There must be one beacon present.
* A town must have shops selling at least 50 stocked wares OR it must have an arena.
* Building architecture should follow similar themes and each building should feature characteristics of that building, i.e a church wouldn’t just be a square box with a sign on the front saying “Church”.
* Buildings cannot be hollow shells. Houses need to have furnished rooms.
